Fortunately, you are covered by Ohio Laws.  As a registered marijuana patient, you do not have to disclose to police officers that you are in possession of medical marijuana or consent to a search. Yet, if a search is conducted, you should simply inform the police that you are a legal MMJ cardholder and patient.

Once you have completed the process and are approved by the physician, they will register you with the State Board of Pharmacy in Ohio. Once you are registered as a Ohio MMJ Cardholder and patient, you can designate someone to provide your care such as a spouse, partner, nurse, parent, guardian, or any one else close to you to be your registered Caregiver. Registration fees for Caregivers are currently only $25 in the state of Ohio.

Fortunately, your registration with the State Board of Pharmacy in Ohio is NOT a matter of public record. Only licensed physicians and dispensaries will be able to see and verify you and your caregiver's registrations. Ohio law also prohibits the Ohio Board of Pharmacy, as well as licensed dispensaries from making your information public. In other words, you are covered. Only those who need to know, will know you are a cardholder and patient.
